Karen Butterfield is an award-winning communications professional specializing in B2B and B2C content creation, copywriting, as well as internal and external correspondence. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Webster University, St. Louis, in 2010 and then served in progressive roles at a community newspaper and publishing company. During her tenure as a reporter and editor, she earned more than a dozen state awards for writing and photography.
In 2018, Karen joined a boutique healthcare executive recruiting firm as the Director of Communications and Business Writer, where she helped expand the firm’s presence and maintain its reputation as a trusted Top 10 healthcare executive search firm. The following year, the firm was acquired by one of the fastest growing and largest executive search firms in the United States as ranked by Forbes Magazine. Karen serves on the Communications/Marketing Committee for the firm, helping with branding and marketing initiatives.
Karen earned a Search Marketing Specialist Certificate from the Digital Marketing Institute at the end of 2018 and has continued to hone her skills in Search Engine Optimization and Marketing.
In her spare time, Karen serves on the Franklin County Area United Way Board of Directors and is the President of the Union Kiwanis Club, a global service organization aimed at serving children throughout the world.
